  1. Funny! Sounds very familiar, too - with the exception of the barn question . . . .

  5. The glory of having children, how I do miss those days. My youngest is now 21, still at home for another 2 months when he moves in with his older brother when I move. Hubby will move soon as his retirement day gets here and the house sells. I am going in advance to get the garden in, the barn built, and start getting the livestock. Now that we are getting out of the east coast to our retirement place we need to get things going there. House will be built after this one sells. But we do have an apartment in the garage for right now to live in. But I do miss having little ones around. Keep talking to my boys asking when I will have daughter in laws since I want them before grandkids.

  6. Sounds like my house. My favorite lately is "Mom, who came up with the word _____?"

  7. Your description of those conversations is so right on that it almost brings spasms of angst to my tummy! Trying to be a good, attentive mom during those periods is hard, isn't it? Used to make me want to scream, "Just shut up and don't issue another peep for an hour!" But I didn't. After all, we are responsible for forming the little darlings' personalities by our handling of those situations. I think being "on" all day was one of the hardest parts of mommying. :o)

  8. Thank you for providing a break from the questions I hear regularly. Although many were the same :)

Can I have a snack? Why?

  9. I realized yesterday after about 10 minutes of non-stop chatter, I had stopped listening completely. I felt bad, but my daughter doesn't seem to need any help to carry a conversation.

Just a friendly reminder, if you know me personally please try to refrain from using my name. There are those who may try to locate me, break into my pantry and steal my pickled beets. Thanks:-).
