Sporadicy

Let me start off by apologizing for my sporadic posting this week.  Not only was I sporadic but I ended up asking you all to do the writing as I begged asked for advice in two totally different areas.  You all are smart folks.  Jamey and I are looking forward to sitting down together sometime this weekend and going through all the comments regarding both allowance and our plot of weeds empty garden space.  Using this striker thing is annoying fun.

My sister and her two girls spent three days with us this week and we had a great time.  Five kids is different than three are different than nine (which is what we had when my friend's four delightful kids joined us for the evening on Tuesday).  The added busy-ness of the household lead to the sporadic posting, as you can well imagine.  Things have slowed back down and, as usual, it feels good to fall back into our routine.

I have a couple of links to share with you.  My wise friend Kim posted this the other day and it was a reality check I needed on several levels and I so appreciate her obedience to share what was on her heart.  Sarah rocked the blogosphere with this post last week.  I was cheering her on the entire time I was reading it.  Then, there's this link.  Blogger has come out with new ways you can view blogs.  Follow the link and click on the blue button in the top right hand corner to view this blog in different ways as a means to explore different posts (if you're not sick of me yet).  Some of the views are pretty cool.

In other blog-related news, I'll be posting next week about something new I've found that combines "local" with coupons.  Can it be there is such a thing?  Well, there is and I'll tell you all about it.  I also have another "Worth It or Not?" post in the works to hopefully help with your what-to-make-for-dinner woes.  And, if the rain lets up, I'll be posting some garden pictures to show you what we've been up to outside.

I'm going to leave you with a picture of my very favorite spring flower that happens to be a bush.  Can you guess what it is?  Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend, friends and thanks again for all your help this week.  You girls (and Mr. H) rock.

Sarah's post got me, too--so many challenges we all face as parents! I made my "parenting vows" inspired by all the talk going around: http://foreveryoungward.blogspot.com/2011/03/i-am-parent.html

Can't wait for the next "Worth it or not" post, I made the mexican lasagna from the last one--SOOO good!

Just a friendly reminder, if you know me personally please try to refrain from using my name. There are those who may try to locate me, break into my pantry and steal my pickled beets. Thanks:-).
