So. Not only did I feel lousy this week, but we have company coming this weekend, so I've had no time to craft a thoughtful post for you darlings. Instead I'm going to take this opportunity to share a little something with you....
Some of the strangest things get passed around on facebook. I quickly hide some. I laugh my head off at others. Some make me think. Some waste brain cells.
One of my facebook friends often posts Messy Mondays videos. A former home-schooled college student produces a little video every week (I think). Some of his videos are {a lot} better than others, but here are a few that are very well done, in my opinion- the first two are geared toward teens and pre-teens. I'm planning on bookmarking these for when my kids get older.
Note that the point of the first couple videos isn't so much that you need guys (or girls) to like you, but the quality of the interactions and relationships are the key. And, obviously, you'll want to watch these on your own before sharing them with your teens to make sure you approve.
The first one is for your daughters (sons should hear it, too), entitled, "Ten Ways to Get the Right Guy to Like You".
The next is for your sons (and daughters, too) called, "Ten Ways to Get Girls to Like You." I especially like #3.
I can't help it, but I have to share one more: "Seven Lies About Homeschoolers". Some of his comments to traditional-schoolers are a bit strongly worded for my taste, so please forgive him and understand those sentiments are not my own.
Have a wonderful weekend, friends. I hope to be back to my blog-posting self next week. Pin It
I have seen these before and I can't decide if I like this guy or not??! Some of his stuff is pretty funny and then other times I'm almost cringing! LOL

ReplyDeleteOh my word those are my top three favorites of his! I don't home school, we went the private school route, but I have so many friends that do home school, he was right on the button on his list of misconceptions!
ReplyDeleteOh and you don't have to post this question or you certainly can if you wish, you have a quote from Proverbs in the sidebar, and you have Bible Study Fellowship in parenthesis. I am in a Bible study called Bible Study Fellowship international. I was just curious if that is what you are referring to. Would be so interesting if you were! I have been in BSF forever!
ReplyDeleteIt's the same BSF:-).
