After years of compiling recipes inspired by the garden and the preserved produce in our pantry and freezer, I have put them all together into a cookbook and added favorite family recipes. Many of the recipes are updated versions of those I've shared on my website. Others are new! With this unique cookbook in hand, you'll be all set to begin making delicious homemade and homegrown meals for yourself and your family.
{These photos are not included in the cookbook but the recipes are!}
What makes this cookbook different is that most of the recipes relate directly to the canning and freezing instructions provided within. In addition to recipes, I've provided detailed preserving sections on canning and freezing. Written for both beginners and seasoned preservers, it will give you the confidence you need to begin preserving many basic fruits and vegetables, if you so choose.
Speaking of cost, let me be honest and say that I despised pricing this cookbook! I wanted the price to represent the quality and quantity of resources it holds and totally and utterly respect your desire to not spend a lot of money. I pray I've been able to reflect the right balance. Also, I would love to tell you that 100% of the proceeds go toward charity, but I can't do that. I will tell you that the proceeds will go to pay back the investment I've put into the book, and once that's reimbursed, will be absorbed into our finances. If you know me, you will trust (as you can) that it will be used wisely with the goal of giving as much as we can to others.
Now you know everything there is to know about this cookbook. I hope you love it!
Love,
Jane

ReplyDeleteWhat did I do this August? I pulled up my green bean plants, planted more. Watch ugly bugs eat and destroy my Swiss Chard plants and had to plant new. Cleaned out two beds for fall plantings. My daughter came to town and we went kayaking, crabbing, and to the beach. Then we went to my son's house and helped him move to another house. Each day, my husband and I count the number of limes on our tree, thinking that we will get more. I went to a conference in Orlando and we rescued a boxer.

ReplyDeleteWhat did I do this August?? Hmmm..a lot of working, a coupla barbecues, I saved a dog who was hit by a car, and adopted a feral cat. No one wanted her, so now she has us. Hee, hee. *sigh* I wish I had a more exciting life to talk about.
This is what I did in August: I gave my daughter-in-law a baby shower as we are expecting our very first grandchild (Yea!) As a baby shower favor, I made and canned homemade strawberry jam (or as we labeled it "Princess Strawberry" jam". Thanks for sharing and "teaching" all of us.

ReplyDeleteAugust is a fun, busy month. I prepared to start another year teaching, strung strands of cayenne peppers to dry, harvested the last clinging produce in the garden, went to a campmeeting to hear great preaching and relished each day the LORD gave me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your blog! LB
Just had to leave a message. Ordered and received your cookbook VERY QUICKLY! Thank you so much, I love it!
